PortDock Plot
See the numbers an Arduino, sensor or device sends as a live graph. Reads comma/space/tab/semicolon text, Arduino-style «name:value» and binary frames, with per-channel colors and axes, pause, zoom and two-point deltas, and records CSV while receiving.
Made for
- Developers tuning firmware while watching sensor or board values
- Field engineers logging device output for hours to find anomalies
Features
Serial, TCP, UDP
COM ports (baud, data bits, parity, stop bits — 8N1 by default — and DTR), a TCP client that connects to the device, and UDP receive (multicast too). Reconnects after unplug/replug.
Text, name:value, binary
Comma, space, tab or semicolon detected automatically, named values like temp:23.1 hum:40, header lines, and frames with start bytes, u8–f64, endianness and checksum. Failed lines show in red with the reason.
View and measure
Up to 32 channels on left/right axes, last N points or seconds, auto/fixed Y, pause (keeps receiving), cursor readout, Δt and Δvalue between two markers, wheel zoom and drag to pan.
Keeps up
Parsing runs in Rust; drawing happens once per frame on a canvas with min/max per pixel — thousands of rows per second without losing spikes.
Record and save
Every value to CSV while receiving (Excel-friendly), the visible range as CSV, the graph as PNG. Table of the last value plus min, max and mean over the visible range.
Quick start
- Have the device print numbers per line (e.g. 23.1,40 or temp:23.1 hum:40)
- Pick the source (serial port and baud, TCP, UDP) and «Start» (F4)
- Click the graph to measure; «● Record CSV» to keep it
