PortDock TCP
Connect to an Ethernet device (client) or let devices connect to the PC (server). The server accepts several peers and can send to one or all; the relay sits between two devices and logs both directions.
Made for
- HMI, MES and host software developers
- Firmware developers of TCP devices
Features
Client and server
The server accepts up to 64 peers; send to one or all, and disconnect them individually.
Relay (monitor)
Sits between A (e.g. an HMI) and B (e.g. a PLC), passes traffic through and logs both directions.
Auto-reconnect
The client reconnects at a set interval when the link drops.
Echo
The server echoes back what arrives; echo turns itself off above 200 per second to stop echo loops.
Framing and checksums
Split the TCP stream by idle gap, terminator, fixed length or Modbus TCP (MBAP length), and verify nine checksum types or a custom CRC.
Quick start
- Choose «Client» or «Server», enter address and port
- «Connect» or «Start listening»
